The Camilla Elphick Story

"Fashion and shoes have always had a big place in my heart. When I was young my father told me from an early age to always have polished shoes and nails, he said that it was the key to making a memorable first and lasting impression."

A Letter From Our Founder

Welcome to the world of Camilla Elphick, where every shoe tells a story. From a very young age, I was captivated by the allure and artistry of shoes. This passion led me on an incredible journey of discovery and learning. After honing my skills and creativity at Parsons in New York and Cordwainers at the London College of Fashion, I embarked on a mission to bring my vision of unique footwear to life. These experiences equipped me with the knowledge and inspiration to create not just shoes, but wearable pieces of art.

It's been eight remarkable years since I turned my dream into a reality. My aspiration has always been to design original, charming shoes that resonate with those who wear them. I am proud to say that this vision has been realized through our collections, each piece a testament to creativity and craftsmanship. Our shoes are crafted in artisan factories in Portugal, where traditional techniques meet contemporary design, ensuring every pair is as unique as the person who wears them. The journey to get here has been filled with challenges and triumphs, but most importantly, it has been driven by an unwavering passion for creating shoes that enchant and inspire.

Thank you for joining me on this wonderful journey. Whether you're stepping out in your first pair of Camilla Elphick shoes or adding to your collection, know that you are wearing a piece crafted with love, imagination, and a deep respect for the art of shoemaking.

How It All Started

After graduating from Cordwainers at the London College of Fashion and Parsons in New York, I had big dreams of starting out on my own. I wanted to make shoes that were a little quirky, fun and just a bit different and went on to intern with the likes of Paul Andrew, Charlotte Olympia and Sophia Webster as well as for brands including Burberry and Donna Karen.

2014 was where it all began, from a small desk in Shoreditch I started designing and contacting factories in Milan. Later that year, I launched my first collection ‘You Got The Luck’ and got my first order - so it obviously was quite lucky!

Over the past few years my team has grown and so has the brand. We are now a mostly female-led team who specialise in footwear and accessories and we are hugely fortunate that we love what we do. I feel very proud that we have created numerous collections that have become beautiful heirlooms in our customers' closets and give her that little something extra when she walks into a room.
Moving onto the present day, we are evolving as an online global brand and expanding our sales channels. I realised that not only do I want to design shoes that make women feel fabulous but to be able to make my designs more accessible without compromising on quality and produce them in the most responsible way.

Sustainability is incredibly important to me, as a brand we focus our efforts on minimising leather waste, reducing our energy footprint and producing our packaging in eco friendly materials. We work closely with our factories who employ the same values as us - which makes it all a lot easier.

Now onto the future - over the next few months, you will notice some exciting new product categories launching and we will be expanding our core range to bring you styles that you just cannot live without.
